Fluorescent Dreams
How a complicated idea becomes something simple - inspired by signage and weird shapes on a billboard:

WiFi
My life has changed drastically since going on leave and starting to paint full time. I was doing personal admin work in the studio but soon realized I'd rather separate admin and painting because it gets too distracting and there's something about keeping a space purposeful or sacred. So I now go somewhere most mornings to do stuff on my computer, read, write but I haven't really found a good spot here in Oakland. I did go to Urben Blend a few times but parking's a drag sometimes and the ambience is just alright. Starbucks was cool but on Sunday mornings, super crowded, walked in and right out. Found solace at Colonial Donuts across the street, plenty of space and pretty distraction free but no WiFi, except I did catch Starbucks' network but it only lasted a few minutes. Gave Rooz on Park a shot, but it was also pretty crowded and I have to buy something - I have to do that for all the places, which adds up, I'm not even a coffee drinker - I don't mind. Finally decided the main library with it's newly installed WiFi would be a good spot, which was true except there are few tables with access to an outlet. Oh and sometimes I go to Carls Jr on Broadway for a quick breakfast, the sunlight's always good, plenty of room, never crowded but unfortunately no WiFi.
So the search continues. .

Self Diagnosis - After the Fall
The ladder slipped from underneath me yesterday as I was trying to reach for something high on a shelf. I was on the ground before I knew it.
The first thing I said was..
"I'm alright"
Even though I could barely get the words out. I was in so much pain. Mind over matter I suppose. Not really. It hurt. I can't slow down I had 8 days at the time til it's all over. Today it's 7.
I think I fractured my left elbow. I'm not sure. All I know is I don't have insurance and the time to go to Highland.
I called Kaiser. They offered me a good deal but even if I sent in all the forms today it wouldn't kick in until a week from now.
For now - ice and maybe Ibuprofen (hate pills).

360
There's an on going debate between my childhood friend (my age) and his sister (my sisters age) about whether my sister stood on the swing and did a full 360 around the horizontal pole way back when she was a kid.
My sister says it never happened.
My sister says it never happened.
This never happened.

Albino Poo
What's dope about drawing albino poo is that you don't have to use any color. There aren't even eyes to make pink. No color at all, pure black line.
What's dope about albino poo in a porcelain toilet is that the piece of crap is camouflaged, which I guess could be dangerous. Again you don't have to use any color what so ever.
This reminded me of this -> ..an old Lakota prophecy having to do with an albino calf.
"When White Buffalo Calf Woman promised to return again, she made some prophecies at that time One of those prophesies was that the birth of a white buffalo calf would be a sign that it would be near the time when she would return again to purify the world. What she meant by that was that she would bring back harmony again and balance, spiritually. No matter what happens to Miracle in the coming months and years, Joseph Chasing Horse says the birth is a sign from the Great Spirit and the ensuing age of harmony and balance it represents cannot be revoked." - Joseph Chasing Horse

Old Chinese pastor, young Chinese pastor

Spying on wreck in Richmond

Dog spying on us spying on wreck in Richmond

I was allowed into the secret headquarters of a mag that shall remain unnamed

Madalyn in England.
Really in Berkeley. A concept I've been thinking about for a long time. Photos of local spots in Oakland or whereever that look like other distant lands and labeling them that. Watch out because I just may start doing that, don't start tripping out, What! Daves in Nairobi! I saw just saw that guy like an hour ago.

I love the cool tones in this shadow.

Jesus came by the church the other night.

Headshot of the son of man. If I were to draw Jesus I'd draw him like this. Expect he probably would've looked nothing like this. I read that the beard would be trim and the hair real short, and the guy was mid eastern, but I've been to Israel and the Jews are all light complexed so I don't know. I wish some frikin artist would tell the truth for once and draw Jesus like he wouldve really historically looked. I'm sick of the Swedish version.
Oh the real story on this guy, Jason is his name. He and his dad go around whereever they open Shiekh Shoes and do the insides of all the stores. They're working on one at the Eastmont mall. Nice dude.
